Make comparisons with comparative and superlative adjectives and as…as, ask for information politely with indirect questions, and use the definite article the.

• Short adjectives: cheap → cheaper → the cheapest. Long: expensive → more expensive → the most expensive.
• Irregular: good → better → the best; bad → worse → the worst; far → farther → the farthest.
• as…as = equal: Jeddah is as hot as Riyadh in summer. not as…as = less.
• Indirect questions use statement order: Where is the bank? → Do you know where the bank is?
• Yes/No: Is it open? → Could you tell me if it is open?
